Comprehensive Assessment Plan (COMPASS)

The COMPrehensive ASSessment (COMPASS) plan is essential to ensure that the Department is achieving its goals as well as to provide a formalized approach to continuous self-evaluation and improvement. As it relates to the academic programs offered by the Department, the assessment plan provides evidence that the Department regularly and consistently evaluates its effectiveness in providing students with an educational experience that enables them to achieve the learning outcomes for their program of study, as well as a method by which we identify and implement improvements to that experience.

Our assessment plan consists of the following components:

A crucial aspect of any formal assessment process is documentation. The information on this website describes the plan and process. Documentation of assessment activities and results are available through the COMPASS Portal.
