Biography and Research Interests

Prior to joining the department Mitch taught at a college and worked as a systems programmer. His research interests include computer systems, programming languages, and computer science education.

In addition to teaching, Mitch enjoys hiking, canoeing, and playing tennis. He is interested in environmental issues and is an active member of the Upper Tallapoosa Watershed Group.

Mitch retired from the University in the spring of 2009.
