About the Program

We offer an ABET accredited program in computer science (one of only 6 such programs in the state of Georgia) leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. The curriculum, which follows guidelines developed for the ACM/IEEE-CS Computing Curricula 2001, provides students with computer science foundations and cutting edge technical skills needed to succeed in today's Information Technology market. The program also provides an excellent basis for graduate education in CS and other disciplines. Areas covered in the program include:

  • Database Development and Administration
  • Net-Centric Computing
  • Operating Systems
  • Systems Administration

In addition, topic courses covering areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Programming Languages, Bioinformatics, Game Development and Design, and Human-Computer Interaction are offered.
