Undergraduate Programs in Computer Science

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

CAC/ABET Accredited

We offer an ABET accredited program in computer science (one of only 6 such programs in the state of Georgia) leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. The curriculum follows guidelines from the ACM/IEEE-CS Computing Curricula 2001 and provides students with computer science foundations and cutting edge technical skills needed to succeed in today's Information Technology job market. The program also provides an excellent basis for graduate education in CS and other disciplines. Areas covered in the program include:

  • Object-Oriented Software Design and Development
  • Web Development
  • Software Engineering
  • Database Systems and Information Management
  • System and Network Administration

Additionally, the department generally offers elective courses covering a variety of special topics in current and emerging areas of computing and information technology.
