Biography and Research Interests

Prior to joining the UWG faculty in the spring of 2005, Dr. Baumstark received his Ph.D. (2004) and M.S. (2001) in electrical and computer engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and his BS (1998) from Tennessee Technological University. His research interests are in software reverse engineering, compilers, and computer architecture.

Dr. Baumstark has a habit of picking up new hobbies without properly retiring the old ones. He enjoys (or has enjoyed) video games, reading, playing piano, kayaking, collecting Star Wars memorabilia, kung-fu, tai-chi, sci-fi movies, and going to new restaurants with old friends.
